Service: 2x Bathroom resurfacing (wall tiles in Bath 1, wall tiles and bathtub in Bath 2)

Timeline: 2 days of work per bathroom + 1 day drying time each

Goal

Simon wanted to breathe new life into his unit’s bathrooms without the hassle and expense of replacing all the tiles and fixtures. He also wanted the project staggered, so that he was never without a functioning bathroom.

Our Approach

Our team resurfaced the wall tiles in the ensuite and both the wall tiles and bathtub in the main bathroom. Resurfacing provides a durable, fresh finish in a bright, modern colour, at around 70% less than replacement.

Once our work was complete, Simon replaced the vanity and mirror to complete the transformation. The result? A glamorous new look that feels like a full renovation, without the disruption.

Managing Access and Timing

One big advantage of having two bathrooms was that we could stagger the work. While one bathroom was being resurfaced and drying (a total of 3 days out of action), the other stayed fully functional.

This approach keeps the property liveable and avoids the stress of losing all bathroom access during a renovation.

Handling pets and strata

Simon was also concerned about his two small dogs during the project. We were able to reassure him that pets can safely stay in the property as long as they’re kept out of the work area.

For all apartment projects, we also recommend advising the strata in advance. While our spray coating process is fully controlled and vented through nearby windows, some smell is normal on spray days.
