A Quick Facelift Before Sale

Repeat clients Lauren and Sam came to us with a clear goal: update their kitchen before putting their Cromer property on the market. They didn’t want to renovate; they just wanted the space to feel lighter, fresher and more appealing to buyers.

The result? A modern kitchen makeover completed in just a few days, thanks to professional resurfacing.

Project Snapshot

Location: Cromer, Northern Beaches, Sydney, NSW

Clients: Lauren and Sam

Service: Kitchen cabinet, benchtop, and splashback resurfacing

Timeline: 2 days of work + 1 day drying

Before resurfacing the kitchen in this Northern Beaches home

The original kitchen features orange timber cabinetry, pattern tiles in the splashback and green benchtops, all of which date and darken the space.

They needed a speedy, cost-effective renovation

The original timber cabinets were in good shape, but the colour dated the space.

Lauren and Sam wanted a clean, contemporary look without gutting the kitchen or disrupting other pre-sale work happening throughout the house.

Resurfacing their kitchen

We resurfaced:

  • The kitchen cabinets and splashback in white.

  • The benchtop in Birchbark from our Flinstone II range for a subtle, stone-look finish.

To complete the facelift, Lauren and Sam replaced the cabinet knobs with modern hardware, tying the whole look together.

The entire job was completed in three days, transforming the kitchen for a fraction of the cost of replacement.

After resurfacing - the space feels bright and modern, ready for the flooring to be replaced.

Resurfaced kitchen in white cabinetry, white splashback, and a stone-look benchtop, creating a bright and modrn space.

Managing Timing and Access

We always recommend resurfacing the kitchen BEFORE repainting the property or replacing the floors.

Since the property was vacant, all we had to do was work the timing in amongst the other trades booked, to ensure the kitchen was taken care of in the right order.

The kitchen was out of action for 3 days in total; however, this was not a problem due to the property being empty.

The Results

The kitchen now feels brighter, more spacious, and market-ready, without any demolition.

This kind of kitchen resurfacing is ideal before a sale. It adds real visual value without overcapitalising or slowing down your timeline.
