A fresh new look before the sale of this Homebush property

Sometimes the smallest updates make the biggest impact.

For Kalliope and Tim, preparing their Homebush unit for sale meant looking at what buyers would notice first. For this property, the original brown bathroom tiles weren’t doing them any favours.

Rather than replace everything, they chose a smarter path: bathroom resurfacing.

Project Snapshot

Location: Homebush, NSW

Clients: Kalliope and Tim

Service: Wall tiles and bathtub resurfacing

Timeline: 2 days of work + 1 day drying

Working with an original bathroom

The bathroom was completely original. It was structurally sound, but visually tired.

Rather than pour money into a full renovation, Kalliope and Tim wanted a light refresh that could help boost buyer interest without blowing the pre-sale budget.

Before resurfacing the Sydney bathroom, it felt dated and dreary.

The Solution

We resurfaced the bathroom’s wall tiles and bathtub, covering the dated brown with a fresh, clean white.

This approach instantly modernised the space, giving it a bright, cared-for feel that adds value and broadens buyer appeal, without replacing a single tile.

After Resurfacing the bathroom, the space feels liveable and bright.

The white resurfaced wall tiles and resprayed bath distract from the original tiles, toilet and shower.

Managing Access and Timing

The bathroom was out of action for three full days, which is standard for our resurfacing jobs: two days of work, plus one day of drying.

Since the property was staged and ready for sale, access was easy. The update fit neatly into the sellers’ prep.

Strata Notification

As with all unit jobs, we advised the owners to notify Strata in advance. Our spray process is well-contained and ventilated through the nearest window, but a light smell can occur during spraying. We manage this carefully to ensure minimal impact on the building or neighbours.

The Results

What once looked dark and dated now feels clean, bright and move-in ready, which is exactly what buyers want to see!

Bathroom resurfacing is an ideal way to lift the look of a property before sale, without sinking money into a full reno. We offer kitchen, laundry and bathroom resurfacing across Sydney.
